Regina Hibner Of East Quogue Dies At Age 89

Regina Hibner

Regina Hibner of East Quogue died on Tuesday, April 3, in Port Jefferson. She was 89.

Ms. Hibner was born in Brooklyn in 1922. She graduated from the College of Notre Dame in Maryland and then earned a master’s degree in art at Columbia University. She moved to East Quogue in the early 1950s and worked for the Board of Cooperative Educational Services. She taught art at a number of East End schools.

She is survived by two nieces and a nephew.

Ms. Hibner was buried alongside her predeceased family members at Calvary Cemetery in Queens on Friday, April 6.

Gintaras Satas, 58, of Mastic was arrested at about 11:30 p.m. on May 2 and charged with misdemeanor DWI and several vehicle and traffic violations after the vehicle he was driving nearly struck a Southampton Town Police car that was on the side of Montauk Highway in Water Mill with its lights on conducting a traffic stop of another vehicle.
