Rhonda G. Winokur of Hampton Bays and formally of Las Vegas died on January 24 at her home due to health complications. She was 65.
Winokur was the manager of Garden Homes Mobile Home Park in Hampton Bays.
The job she was most passionate about, however, was being known as “Ms. Rhonnie, bus driver Extrodinaire” for the East Hampton School District. In between bus runs, she dedicated her time to the students of John Marshall Elementary School.
Everyone knew her, from the Superintendent to the kindergarten class.
She will be missed by her family, f riends, coworkers and mostly the students of East Hampton School District, her survivors said.
She will always be remembered every Fourth of July as the skies light up in celebration. She was born on July 4, 1956.
She was predeceased by her parents Sammy and Golda Lee Winokur. She is survived by her brother Johnny Winokur; nieces and cousins from Washington state and Las Vegas, Nevada.
A service and celebration of life will be announced in the spring.
