Lifelong Southampton resident Richard A. Piccolo died while in Virginia on November 28, of a heart attack. He was 42.
Born June 9, 1966, at Southampton Hospital, he was the son of Florence and Robert F. Piccolo.
He worked for Hampton Hearth Shoppe in Southampton, as well as for his family’s antique store, Windmill Antiques, for many years, and as a landscaper. He was an avid racer and enjoyed racing his #88 stock cars at the Riverhead Raceway.
Survivors said this week that he will be remembered most for his sense of humor and laughter, and will be truly missed by all.
He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Florence and John Halloran of Florida, a brother, Robert S. Piccolo of Florida; and a stepsister, Debby Halloran of North Carolina. His father, Robert F. Piccolo predeceased him.
The date of a memorial service in Florida after the holidays will be announced in a future edition of The Press.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Heart Association, 1 Union Street, #301, Robbinsville, NJ 08691-4183 would be appreciated by the family.
