Richard C. Maguire Of Hampton Bays Dies December 24.

Richard C. Maguire of Hampton Bays died at Peconic Bay Medical Center on December 24. He was 73.

Born in the Bronx, he moved to Hampton Bays in 1970. For many years he was an advertising sales agent for the Suffolk Life newspaper in Riverhead and for the Pennysaver.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Judith T. (Worthington); two sons, Peter and James of Hampton Bays; a brother, Robert and his wife Karen; two sisters-in-law, Louise Worthington and Carol Digangi and her husband Frank; and 10 nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Eugene and Elizabeth Fitzgerald; and two brothers, Joseph and Stephen.

A gathering of family and friends was held at the J. Ronald Scott Funeral Home on 
Friday, December 28, with a St. Rosalie’s parish prayer service in the afternoon and an Elks service in the evening. A 
memorial Mass was held on Saturday, December 29, at the Church of St. Rosalie in Hampton Bays.
