Hormats | AzmoodehThe Honorable Robert Hormats and Catherine Azmoodeh were wed by Mark Giller on October 19 at Oheka Castle in Huntington.

The groom is vice chairman of Kissinger Associates Inc., the New York-based strategic international consulting firm founded by Dr. Henry Kissinger. Prior to that he was Undersecretary of State for Economic Growth, Energy and the Environment under Secretary Hillary Rodham Clinton. He holds five degrees from Tufts University and the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, including a Ph.D. in international economics.

The bride is an entrepreneur and co-founder and co-CEO of Social Security Advisors, a New York-based financial technology firm that features websites and advisory services that help Americans maximize the Social Security benefits that they have earned. She earned a bachelor’s degree in economics, magna cum laude, from Tufts University, and pursued graduate coursework at the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy and the University of Texas at Austin in the M.B.A. and Masters in Public Affairs programs. She attended Phillips Academy Andover and Southampton High School, where she graduated as valedictorian.

The groom is the son of the late Ruth and Saul Hormats of Baltimore, Maryland. His father was a chief scientist for the United States Army and his mother, a schoolteacher and inventor, founded the Stenso Lettering Company which was later sold to Avery Dennison.

The bride is the daughter of Val and Wanda Azmoodeh of Water Mill. Mr. Azmoodeh retired as president and CEO of Amran International, a global export management company that he founded in 1975. He is currently the president and CEO of Paramount Investment Group. The bride’s mother is a paralegal in the Town of Southampton’s justice court.

This is a first marriage for both. They plan to reside in Manhattan.

SOUTHAMPTON VILLAGE — Police arrested a Manhattan man on August 15 in connection with an August 6 burglary at a Rogers Avenue home.
