Robert M. Klein Jr. of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and formerly of Bellport died on Thursday, July 31, following a long illness. He was 63.

Mr. Klein was a retired detective
with the Suffolk County Police Department’s arson squad. He and his wife, Debra Tirelli, were formerly the
co-owners of the Southampton Treasure Inn.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Klein is survived by a daughter, Kim Kametler of Westhampton Beach; a son, Robert M. Klein III; his mother, Rita Klein; three brothers, Michael, William and James; and four grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his father, Robert M. Klein Sr.; and a son, Russell W. Klein.

A funeral mass will be held at Mary Immaculate Roman Catholic Church in Bellport on Wednesday, August 13, at 11 a.m., followed by a reception at the Bellport Country Club from 1 to 5 p.m.

Interment was private.

In lieu of flowers, donations to a hospice organization of choice would be appreciated by the family.

A simple fact about the SALT deductions is being obscured with Nick Lakota’s statements in the news. If the 2017 tax rules expire, residents will once again be able to deduct 100 percent of their state and local taxes. If all New York representatives vote together, the new budget will fail. “Fighting” for a higher limit is unnecessary. Volunteer Ambulance HQ To Be Dedicated During Open House

The Southampton Volunteer Ambulance will hold an open house and dedication ceremony for its new headquarters on Sunday, May 18, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The building is located at 1256 North Sea Road in Southampton.
