Southampton native Robert Miller Ouellette of Branchburg, New Jersey, died on April 19 after an accident at his New Jersey home. He was 60.
Born May 15, 1947, in Southampton, he was a graduate of Southampton High School and a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War.
A member of the International Union of Operating Engineers, he worked as an operating engineer with Local 825 in Springfield, New Jersey, for almost 30 years. Most recently he was employed with Central Jersey Wrecking of North Brunswick.
He enjoyed fishing with his wife of 42 years, June Witkowski Ouellette, on his boat, “Krazigul,” and spending time with his dog, Jack.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three daughters, Terry Jane and her husband Charles Wanta of Pennsylvania, Michelle Hootman of North Carolina, and Melissa Ouellette and husband Nicholas LaFemina of Greensboro, North Carolina; a son, Sheriff Christopher Miller Ouellette of Branchburg; a sister, Barbara and her husband Howard Pettebone of New Jersey; three grandsons, Jonathan, Alex and Noah; and a granddaughter, expected in June by the LaFeminas.
Visitation was on April 22 at Branchburg Funeral Home in New Jersey. Funeral services were held on April 23 at Holy Trinity Church also in New Jersey. Interment was private.
