Robert Scanlon, Formerly Of Hampton Bays, Dies August 7

Robert B. Scanlon of Georgetown, New York, formerly of Hampton Bays, died on August 7, 2017, at his home. He was 78.

Mr. Scanlon was a retired custodian for Church of St. Rosalie in Hampton Bays. He was the son of the late Bernard and Catherine Scanlon. He was predeceased by his wife, Elizabeth; son Robert Scanlon Jr.; and daughter Karen O’Connor. He is survived by his children, Debra and Edwin Yeager, Susan Scanlon, and son-in-law Greg O’Connor; grandchildren, Samantha Scanlon, Bobby Scanlon, Allyson Yeager, Nicole Yeager, Brian O’Connor, Heather O’Connor, Jennifer O’Connor, Jessica Tilley, Emily Scanlon and Ashley Scanlon; great-grandchildren, Robert Hopson, Benjamin Lawrence, Sophia Lawrence and Conor Lawrence; sisters, Catherine Fiore, Irene Mahr, Ruth Rivera; and sister-in-law Janet Hobson.

Visitation was August 10 at Scott Funeral Home in Hampton Bays. A funeral service was held at the Church of St. Rosalie on August 11, followed by burial at Calverton National Cemetery.
