Roger A. Halsey Dies At 73

Roger A. Halsey

Roger A. Halsey of East Moriches died at his home on Wednesday, November 16, after a long illness. He was 73.

After teaching for 24 years in the Patchogue and Center Moriches school districts, he drove a truck for 16 years before retiring in 2001.

He enjoyed fishing, clamming and traveling.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Carolyn; children, 
Dawn and her husband Gary Mathews, Glenn, Heather; and grandchildren, Jessica and Kyle Halsey.

The family received friends at Follett & Werner Funeral Home on Sunday, November 20. The Reverend Jack King of the 
Beach Methodist Church in Westhampton Beach conducted a memorial service.

Southampton DWI Arrests for the Week of December 12

William Campos Lopez, 26, of Speonk was arrested on December 8, at 3:40 a.m., by Quogue Village Police charged him with aggravated DWI, a misdemeanor. He was pulled over after being observed speeding and failing to maintain his lane on Montauk Highway, police said.
