Many thanks for bringing to light the efforts of the Sag Harbor Historical Museum to advance a deeper understanding of our village’s significant role in both heroism and suffering during the American Revolution, a central focus of the museum leading up to the celebration of the 250th anniversary in 2026.
The Battle of Sag Harbor and its larger significance in the American conduct of the Revolution, the patriot military strategy adopted for Long Island Sound, and the parallels leading to the final victory at Yorktown four years later, have been an area of my personal interest and research for years. I could not be more delighted to see this story getting such an opportunity for advancement.
Many, many, thanks.
