Ronald Cunningham of Sag Harbor and McAlisterville, Pennsylvania, died on May 5. He was 59.
He was a self-employed health care giver for more than 35 years. Born March 28, 1956, in Trenton, New Jersey, he attended the Scared Heart School in Trenton, where he earned the school’s Spirit Award, the Notre Dame School in New Jersey, where he was given the Who’s Who Award, and the University of Mexico at Albuquerque. He was a certified nurse’s assistant in several states. His work had him traveling in Pennsylvania, Maryland, New Mexico, Connecticut, New Jersey, Florida and New York.
He is survived by his mother, Joyce Cunningham; brothers, Mike and Darell, all of Trenton; and his special friend, Tom Patterson, who was at his side when he died. He is also survived by extended family members, Alice Mayhew, Susan Penzner and Bill Leonard, all of Sag Harbor and New York City; Dr. Oppenheimer, Kevin, Ann, Barbara Jean and many others.
Mr. Cunningham will be buried in the mountains of Pennsylvania. Services were private.
