Rose Marie Lyden, daughter of the late Nora and James Brady, who had a home in Bridgehampton, died May 13 of lung cancer.
Born on September 13, 1935, in Yonkers, she attended Washington Irving High School in Tarrytown, and was a graduate of the Eastern School for Dental Care in New York City.
Ms. Lyden met John Lyden in their early years of high school and they were married on June 14, 1958. They had four children and 11 grandchildren. Survivors said she was a devoted and loving wife who kept everyone smiling with her colorful Irish wit. Her unselfish spirit and enormous heart will have a lasting impact on the lives of others. She was a lifelong skier, an amazing putter on the golf course and enjoyed her many bridge groups.
She is survived by her children, Barry and wife Kelly Lyden of Vermont, Tracey and husband Al Puera of Connecticut, Kevin and wife Ryann Lyden of South Carolina, and Hillary and husband Jay Murphy of Massachusetts; her grandchildren, Caitlin, Liam, Tyler, Shea, Phoebe, Finnigan, Daniel, Curtis, Lillian Rose, Noelle and Brady. She ws predeceased by her brother, Jim Brady.
A funeral Mass took place on May 17 at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Naples, Florida.
