Assemblyman Fred W. Thiele Jr. recently announced the issuance of supplemental payments authorized under the 2024-25 State Budget for the Empire State Child Credit. The Empire State Child Credit is a tax credit program offered by New York State to provide financial relief to families with children. The New York State Department of Taxation and Finance will distribute relief payments to more than 1.5 million low- and moderate-income New Yorkers, averaging $223 per recipient. Stony Brook Southampton Hospital is partnering with OLA of Eastern Long Island to provide free falls prevention programming to Spanish-speaking older adults residing on the East End of Long Island.
