Sarah Lucette Metcalf of Wachapreague, Virginia, formerly of Speonk, died at her daughter’s home in Virginia on December 14. She was 92.
Ms. Metcalf was born in Westhampton, the daughter of Julius and Julia Roth.
She was predeceased by her husband, John Turner Metcalf, and her first husband, Hubert Franklyn Wyatt, and a son, Franklyn H. Wyatt. She is survived by two children, Sally Tuttle and husband Joseph of Wachapreague, and Charles Winston Wyatt of Shelter Island; a sister, Joyce Ferguson of Maine; eight grandchildren, Benjamin Wyatt, Wendy Franconis, Susie Marhsall, Rodney Tuttle, Carter Tuttle, Carey Winter, Skipper Beal and Lori Ann Beal; six great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Charlie Roth; and three sisters, Irma Vonbergen, Anna Havens and Dorothy King.
A funeral service took place on December 20 at Westhampton United Methodist Church, where she had been an active member; the Reverend Jack King officiated. Burial was at the family plot in Westhampton Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of the J. Ronald Scott Funeral Home in Hampton Bays.
