Fire broke out in a Southampton Village condominium complex on Saturday evening, but the blaze was quickly extinguished and no injuries were reported, according to Southampton Fire Department officials.

Vanessa Valadez, 35, of Riverhead, was sitting in a running car on Evergreen Road in Flanders on February 27 when a Southampton Town Police officer, part of an extra patrol deployed to check drug activity, approached, according to police. While speaking to her, the officer took note of classic signs of inebriation — slurred speech and bloodshot eyes, police said.
