On Sunday December 1, the Southampton Fire Department Juniors held their annual pancake breakfast and Chinese auction. On behalf of the SFD Juniors, I would like to thank our terrific community for supporting us. The local merchants were more than generous with their donations to our Chinese Auction, and the residents were also more than generous by attending the breakfast and supporting the Juniors.

What everyone probably does not know is that this is the only fundraiser that the Juniors host, and all the monies raised from the Chinese Auction are donated equally to the Fireman’s Home in Hudson, New York, and the Flying Point Foundation for Autism in Water Mill. So, you all, merchants and breakfast participants alike, should be extra proud, because not only did you support these wonderful young people in their quest to possibly become our future volunteer firefighters, you also supported two very worthy causes.
