Throughout January,  members of the Hampton Bays Middle School Kiwanis Builder’s Club are raising money for  the Southampton Animal Shelter. Under the direction of advisers Erica Hayes and Jamie Huebner, the students are selling $2 paw print bracelets. The proceeds will go toward restocking the animal shelter’s food pantry.

Throughout January, members of the Hampton Bays Middle School Kiwanis Builder’s Club are raising money for the Southampton Animal Shelter. The Southampton Elementary School Student Council recently donated winter coats to Heart of the Hamptons. All of the coats were dry-cleaned for free bu Carolyn’s Good Ground Cleaners in Hampton Bays and will be
distributed to local families in need. “We are so proud of our students and the support of our school community in this worthwhile endeavor that fosters kindness, volunteerism and community service,” said student council advisers Lisa Carew with Annemarie Calogrias.

Sixth-grader  Rebecca Bartha is the 2022 Spelling Bee Champion at the Raynor Country Day School's Scripp's National Spelling Bee on Friday, January 14.  Rebecca will go on to represent the school at the regional level.

First-grader John Everitt and second-grader Porter Faulk  were named co-champions at Raynor Country Day School's Day One Spelling Bee event.  The co-champions moved onto the final round with the senior students and were eventually defeated by Rebecca Bartha.
