Hampton Bays Elementary School fourth graders recently learned more about the lives and history of Native Americans during a special presentation by Journeys into American Indian Territory. Through the interactive workshop, students explored a Native American museum featuring artifacts such as clothing, dolls, pottery and a longhouse replica. Westhampton Beach High School AP Spanish students in Denizzie Kearns's class recently visited the United Nations headquarters to learn about its history, objectives and work. They toured the famous General Assembly Hall and Security Council Chamber. The tour, all done in Spanish, provided students with a deeper understanding of how the UN works toward peace, dignity and equality on a healthy planet. “Students left inspired to never give up making this world a better place for all,” said Kearns.

Eastport-South Manor Jr.-Sr. High School classes and clubs united in their efforts to
assist community organizations during the holiday season by hosting the school’s annual
Stuff-A-School Project.  Throughout the month, nonperishable food, clothing, arts and crafts, toiletries, baby items and more were collected for those in need and displayed in the rotunda. In recognition of the students’ and community’s hard work and generosity, members of the
performing arts groups performed throughout the day, with holiday music and cheer
