The Eastport-South Manor Board of Education held its annual reorganization meeting on July 6, swearing in newly elected members. Three graduating seniors from Westhampton Beach High School were presented with scholarships recently. From left, the Knights of Columbus / Father Joseph Slomski Council #7423 Scholarships went to Rose Bernadette Hayes and Shane Buhl; and the Immaculate Conception Church Scholarship was awarded to Jessicka Alvarado Morales. They earned the scholarships for academic excellence, participation in school athletics and activities, combined with a special focus on service to the community. COURTESY GEORGE MOTZ
