Westhampton Beach Elementary School is celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month through a variety of activities. Students are sharing biographies of famous Latinos and Latinas over the school’s public address system and on display boards in their school’s hallways. They have also been reading books and watching videos on the importance of Hispanic Heritage Month and the different cultures and traditions within Spanish speaking countries. 'Open Spaces' Community Event at The Watermill Center Is Set

The Watermill Center will host its community event, Open Spaces, on Saturday, May 31, from noon to 2 p.m. The day will open at with a land blessing and performance by Shinnecock artist Shane Weeks. A Rare Look At Preservation Work

The Whalers’ Church, which acts as the steward for the Old Burying Ground, which is the resting place for some 20 Revolutionary War patriots, will hold a talk about the restoration of those headstones on Tuesday, May 20, from 9 a.m. to noon. The Water Mill Museum will reopen for the season on Thursday, May 22, and has announced its calendar of events for the coming months.
