Westhampton Beach Elementary School students raised more than $25,000 through a Bubble Run and Raise Craze fundraiser. The creative fundraiser combined fitness, fun and kindness. Students secured sponsorships to participate in a lively bubble run and collected donations by performing acts of kindness throughout their community. Their good deeds included sharing positive messages with classmates and staff, collecting nonperishable food donations and creating a positivity path at their school that features inspiring messages. Southampton High School students explored future college and career opportunities during the guidance department’s annual fall college fair. In recognition of Fire Prevention Week, Westhampton Beach Elementary School students took part in hands-on fire safety lessons led by members of the Westhampton Beach Fire Department. Students learned important fire safety practices, including how to use smoke alarms and fire extinguishers, when to call 911 and how to safely exit through a window using the department’s smoke house simulator.
