Scott K. Hoover, Formerly of Hampton Bays, Dies October 11

Scott K. Hoover, formerly of Hampton Bays, and recently of Sewell, New Jersey, died on October 11, surrounded by his family. He was 66.

He was retired from Hampton Brake, where he worked as an automotive technician. Hoover was very social and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He enjoyed traveling with his wife, going to festivals, art, and music venues, learning about local history, and visiting historic places.

He is survived by his loving wife Nancy Hoover (nee Stillings); his sister, Patricia (Keith) Trievel of Pennsylvania; niece Jill (David) Matos of New York; his sisters-in-law Susan (Edwin) Berwick, Bonnie Anderson, Suzanne Stillings; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Luther and Miriam Hoover; his brother Dale and Susan Hoover; his in-laws Winfield and Gretchen Stillings; brother-in-law Frank Stillings; and sister-in-law Sharon Stillings.

Family and Friends are invited to visit from 3 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, October 23, and Monday, October 24, from 10 to 11 a.m. at Smith Funeral Home, 47 Main Street, Mantua, New Jersey 08051. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on October 24, with burial to follow at Eglington Cemetery in Clarksboro, New Jersey.
