Sensible Leadership

I wholeheartedly endorse Ed Simioni for mayor of Southampton Village.

Ed offers precisely the fresh, authentically local perspective our village urgently needs. Having raised his family here, with children who attended Southampton Public Schools, Ed is deeply committed to maintaining Southampton as a welcoming, beautiful community for families, all while honoring and protecting our cherished traditions and unique local character.

Among Ed’s top priorities is his promise to ensure that Pond Lane remains open and properly maintained, including a long-overdue repaving. Under his leadership, this vital local route will finally receive the care and attention it deserves.

Ed is equally committed to bringing greater transparency and openness to village governance. Unlike the troubling precedent set by the sudden appearance of a large-scale solar installation in our park’s parking lot, without any community input, Ed firmly believes residents deserve a real voice in village decisions, especially those affecting our community’s finances and aesthetics.

Additionally, Ed has pledged genuine fiscal responsibility, aiming to curb unnecessary spending and eliminate lifetime health benefits for part-time officials, a policy that respects and recognizes the contributions of our hardworking residents.

In short, Ed Simioni embodies genuine small-town values. He truly understands what has attracted so many of us to Southampton: a vibrant sense of community, thoughtful stewardship and sensible leadership.

When you cast your vote in the upcoming village election, please consider supporting Ed Simioni for mayor. I trust Ed to protect the character of Southampton Village, ensuring meaningful representation for all who call this special place home.
