Alice Nina Timmins
Alice Nina (née Singer) Timmins of Bridgehampton died on November 6 in Lake Mary, Florida, of cardiovascular disease while visiting with family on vacation. She was 66.
Born April 22, 1944, in Queens, to Paula and Louis P. Singer, she grew up in Hewlett, where she attended high school and went on to attend Emerson College.
She was a homemaker and known to her family as a “Fairy Princess.” According to her family, her greatest loves were her children, her pets—in particular, her dog Woofy—and flowers.
She is survived by her husband, Richard Timmins of Bridgehampton; two sons, Peter Timmins of New York City and Larry Carpenter of Florida; a daughter, Maureen Carpenter of Florida; two sisters, Midge Korczak-Osteen and Leslie Lomas, both of Colorado; and two dear friends, Diane Isaacs and Charlene Musnicki-Quinlan.
Services were held on November 13 and November 14 at O’Connell Funeral Home in Southampton. Interment followed at Edgewood Cemetery in Bridgehampton.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Animal Rescue Fund of the Hamptons, P.O. Box 901, Wainscott, NY 11975 would be appreciated by the family.
