Sheila Ann Sullivan died August 19 at Calvary Hospital in the Bronx. She was 66 and had a number of illnesses over the years.
Born November 2, 1949, in New York City, she was a daughter of the late Raymond Peter and Catherine McDonnell Sullivan.
Before becoming ill, she spent many happy years with close friends and caring staff at a Community Living Corporation house in Mount Kisco. She enjoyed and was proud of her work at the Ann Manzi Center and participated weekly as a member of Hidden Treasures, a performing and creative arts program in Westchester. Ms. Sullivan traveled often with her housemates and always looked forward to new adventures. She loved Southampton and visited several times a year.
Ms. Sullivan was predeceased by a sister, Maureen Sullivan Brookman; and a brother, Sean J. Sullivan. She is survived by two brothers, R. Peter III of Southampton and Manhattan, Kevin P. of Southampton; a sister, Karen A. of Arizona; nephews David and Jonathan Singer of Illinois, Luke Singer of California; sister-in-law Margaret D. Sullivan of Southampton and Manhattan; and brother-in-law Robert Brookman of Illinois.
Visitation will be held at O’Connell Funeral Home in Southampton on Friday, August 26, from 3 to 5 p.m. A funeral Mass will be held at 9 a.m. on Saturday, August 27, at the Basilica Parish of the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary in Southampton; burial will follow. A reception will be held at the Southampton Club on First Neck Lane.
