I have worked in the Village of Southampton for 40 years, with 30 of those years being a small-business owner, and the other 10 were at various businesses within the village. Although I do not live in Southampton Village and cannot vote in the upcoming village election, I am impacted by the outcome of these elections.
I just wanted to say a few words about candidate Gina Arresta, who is running for village trustee.
I have known Gina and her family for about 28 years. She is a hard worker who can be counted on to follow through on any task and to give of her time to research any issue she may not have firsthand knowledge of.
Gina is proud to be a village resident, which is why she is running for trustee. Gina has managed to raise her boys while working full time and volunteering at various community organizations. I believe Gina would work hard for the village and its residents if elected.
Please take the time to look over all the candidates and what their vision for the village is and consider voting for Gina Arresta and Joseph McLoughlin.

I thank Barbara Ring for aptly proving my point. In response to my letter [“An Alliance,” Letters, April 11], which decried the state of civic public discourse in Hampton Bays as being overtaken by misinformation, fear-mongering and conspiracy peddling, Ring...
