Longtime Sagaponack resident Mauro Poveromo died on Saturday, March 28, 2020. Mr. Poveromo was born in New York City to Domenico and Francesca Piccinnini Poveromo in 1934. He was educated in the New York City public schools and inducted into the United States armed forces in 1956. He served as a Radio Relay and Carrier Operator in the U.S. Army’s Signal Corps at Fort Huachuca, Arizona.
