Shirley Ann Howe
Shirley Ann Howe, a lifelong resident of Water Mill, died at Southampton Hospital last Thursday, April 5. She was 79.
Born on August 2, 1932 in Southampton to James and Elizabeth (Bruns) Foster, she was the youngest of four children and survived her sister Betty Morouney, and two brothers, Eugene and Lawrence Foster. She was predeceased by her husband Charles F. Howe.
Many will remember the time she spent behind the counters at coffee shops on the East End serving up a cup of coffee, a smile, and a joke for the day. Upon retirement, she filled her time loving her family, especially her grandchildren and the family pets.
She is survived by a son, Don Howe and his wife Diane of Water Mill, a daughter Debbie Jivanelli and her husband Drew of Southampton; four grandchildren Kelly and Krystal Jivanelli and Devan and Danielle Howe. She leaves behind her family pets, Maggie, Louisiana, Niki, Tim, Molly, Tigger and Bear.
