Sincere Thanks

I want to take the time and extend a sincere thank you to all first responders and residents who took part in showing appreciation and support for the medical staff at Stony Brook Southampton Hospital on Friday evening. As the battle against COVID-19 still wages on, it is important to remember all volunteers and hospital staff who are on the front line across the country serving their respective communities.

As I have stated over the past few weeks, unity and togetherness are what make Southampton great. I continue to urge our officials to follow in such messaging while dealing with financial issues during the recovery phase from COVID-19. In particular, the collection of taxes should be of primary concern, whether it be deferment of payment for those in need or implementing electronic payment options for public utilization.

During this strenuous time, it is important to remember that we will overcome any challenges we will face as a village. I urge everyone to continue supporting local businesses and restaurants and give special thanks to our first responders and volunteers. I know I will.
