So Grateful

The Bridgehampton Association raised and distributed over $47,000 to 18 local organizations this year — a remarkable feat, especially in a year like 2020!

We adapted, like everyone else, and managed to hold a “Pandemically Modified” Golf Tournament in the fall, at the beautiful Bridgehampton Club. We wore masks and distanced at The Book Bay, our used book store, while staying open nearly every day since the summer. And we even made a few wreaths and treats to sell quietly, instead of our usual festive Holiday Fair.

And our community responded! We are so grateful, since our grantees needed our help this year more than ever.

The 2020 grantees are: The Bay Street Theater, CMEE, Choral Society of the Hamptons, Bridgehampton Child Care Center, Bridgehampton Village Improvement Society, Bridgehampton Community House, Bridgehampton Food Pantry, Bridgehampton Museum, South Fork Bakery, Stony Brook Southampton Hospital, Peconic Land Trust, Peconic Baykeeper, Maureen’s Haven, Hamptons Health Society, Friends of the Long Pond Greenbelt, Hampton Library, Catholic Home Care, and East End Hospice.

Special thanks to our golfers, the Bridgehampton Club, and our tee sponsors: Cromer’s Market; Fowler’s Garden Center; Dayton, Ritz and Osborn Insurance; Pike Farms; Clearview Pools; Breadzilla; The Milk Pail; Green Art Plumbing; Blue Light Energy; HomeReady Property Services; Battle Iron & Bronze; Sperry Tents; and anonymous “Friends of Bridgehampton.”

The Book Bay is still open every afternoon, from 1 to 3:30 p.m., and Saturdays from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., and located on the east side (School Street) of the Bridgehampton Community House. Check out our amazing selection of used books (and our daily 50 percent off sale!), and help support our amazing community.
