Chicken and ribs will be the menu at the Southampton Fire Department’s third annual barbecue fundraiser, set for Saturday, August 17, at the firehouse on Windmill Lane, Southampton. The event will benefit the department’s Antiques & Benevolent Associations.
From 4 to 10 p.m. there will be food (starting at 5 p.m.), live music, and family-friendly fun. Open to the public.
Multiple local bands are in the music lineup and the Beer & Wine Garden will have selections from Wölffer Estate Vineyard and Westhampton Beach Brewing Company. 50/50 Raffle tickets will be available to purchase at the event.
Tickets are $45 for adults, $20 for those age 10 and younger. Beer & Wine Garden tickets are $15.
“Our annual chicken and ribs fundraiser is always something my family looks forward to. It’s a fantastic opportunity for families and friends to come together, enjoy great food and music, and support our fire department’s Antiques & Benevolent Associations. We’re grateful for the continued support from our community, and we look forward to another successful fundraiser,” said Southampton Fire Department Chief Manny Escobar.
All proceeds from the event will go toward supporting the fire department’s Antiques & Benevolent Associations, which each separately play crucial roles in preserving the department’s rich history and supporting its members. The antique fleet consists of a 1912 American LaFrance ladder, 1941 Mack Pumper, 1937 GMC Hose Wagon, 1939 Maxim, all which are original to Southampton, as well as a 1915 Model T Chiefs car. All will be at the event.
