Shelter Island 5K Set for October 21

The annual Shelter Island 5K Run/Walk in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month will take place Saturday, October 21, at 11 a.m., rain or shine, at Crescent Beach. Whenever I make a salad, I have only one thought: I hate the salad spinner. I hate cutting up the lettuce and putting it in the salad spinner. I hate rinsing the lettuce in the plastic colander.
