Southampton native Lillian Lee" Elizabeth Liversedge dies at 93"

A memorial service for Southampton native Lillian “Lee” Elizabeth Liversedge will be held on Sunday, August 29, at 5 p.m., at the Community Bible Church in Sag Harbor. Ms. Liversedge, 93, died on August 8 at her home in Wilmore, Kentucky.

Born January 7, 1917, in Southampton, she was the daughter of Olga (née Tammela) and John Oswick. She graduated from Southampton High School, where she was a star basketball player and May Queen in her senior year, and went on to graduate from Nyack Missionary Training Institute in Nyack, New York.

She worked tirelessly beside her husband, Reverend Hugh D. Liversedge, at churches in Southampton, Chicago, Detroit, Montgomery, and Cincinnati until his death. Most recently she was a member of the Community Bible Church in Sag Harbor and attended Wilmore Free Methodist Church in Kentucky, upholding a lifelong commitment to the Great Commission of Evangelism Resources.

She is survived by two daughters and their husbands, Barbara and Bruce Tait of Sag 
Harbor, and Linda and Wayne DuPree of Southampton; two sons and their wives, Jon 
and Barbara Liversedge of Virginia and Stephen and Lorrie Liversedge of Kentucky; five granddaughters, Danielle and her husband Jon Barton, Aimee and her husband Colin Astarita, Jill and her husband Andrew Mehan, Abby DuPree, and Katherine Liversedge; seven grandsons, Keith DuPree and his wife Adriana, Justin and Ian DuPree, Scott Liversedge and his wife Helene, Nathan, Matthew and Jonathan Liversedge; eight great-granddaughters, Annabelle, Zoe, Sarah, Victoria, Madeleine, Evangeleine, Sarah, Jessica; and two great-grandsons, Jacob and 
Benjamin.

A visitation and funeral service was held on August 12 at Wilmore Free Methodist 
Church in Wilmore, Kentucky, with the Reverend Reed 
Wilbanks officiating. Interment followed at Wilmore Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Kerr Brothers 
Funeral Home in Lexington, Kentucky.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Evangelism Resources, 425 Epworth Avenue, Wilmore, KY 40390 would be appreciated by the family.
