It was about 6:30 a.m. on February 20, when a Lake Drive, Noyac, resident encountered an armed man standing on the back porch of his Bay View Oaks home. Pedestrian Struck in East Quogue

At approximately 6:32 p.m. on Friday, February 17, Southampton Town Police Communications Division received emergency calls for a pedestrian struck on Montauk Highway in East Quogue. Southampton Town Police Patrol Units responded and requested East Quogue volunteer ambulance for a female victim. The victim, identified as Loretta Cahill, 83, of East Quogue, attempted to cross the street when she was struck by a 2012 Jeep, driven by Cristian Durazno, 18, of Hampton Bays. Cahill sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to an area hospital. Durazno remained at the scene to speak with investigating officers.
