Rafal Stoklosa, 45, of Southampton was killed Monday night when he was struck by a Long Island Rail Road train. MTA officials said their police were continuing the investigation on Tuesday. Preliminary reports found nothing criminal in nature that caused the fatal accident. At approximately 7 p.m. Monday, August 1, an eastbound train fatally struck Stoklosa at a location west of the Hills Station Road bridge in Shinnecock Hills. Hampton Bays Man Dies After Being Struck By Car On Montauk Highway In Hampton Bays

David Krouse, 63, of Hampton Bays died following a July 19 motor vehicle accident in Hampton Bays. At approximately 10:36 that night, Krouse was walking in the area of Montauk Highway and Springville Road when he was struck by a 2014 Jeep Cherokee driven by Andres Cardona, 33, of East Hampton. Southampton Town Police responded to the accident scene, as did Hampton Bays Volunteer Ambulance and Suffolk County Aviation. Krouse was airlifted to Stony Brook Hospital via Suffolk County Aviation, but on Thursday, July 21, police reported he succumbed to his injuries.
