Flanders Man Charged In Moriches Shooting

A Flanders man, Michael Gilbert, 28, has been charged with second-degree murder in the November 26 shooting of Tyrell Durham, 37, of Moriches. Suffolk County Police were called to the victim’s residence on Tall Oaks Circle at approximately 1 a.m. He had been shot outside his house, was raced to Long Island Community Hospital in East Patchogue and pronounced dead there.
