New York State troopers are investigating a bullet-riddled vehicle found on West Gate Road on the Shinnecock Territory in Southampton on Wednesday morning. Police said the 2006 Chrysler Minivan was unoccupied when it was discovered and no injuries were reported. It was discovered between 10:30 and 11 a.m. The investigation is ongoing, and troopers ask anyone with information about the minivan to call 631-756-3300.

The Westhampton Beach Police Department’s sole lieutenant has been suspended from the department indefinitely after he was arrested last month by Suffolk County Police and charged with criminal obstruction of breathing and fourth degree-criminal mischief, both misdemeanors.
