A memorial service for Ms. Ulrich will be held on Tuesday, September 12, at Werner-Rothwell Funeral Home in Westhampton Beach from 3 to 7 p.m.
According to Suffolk County Police Homicide Section Detective Sergeant Charles Leser, the 911 call to East Hampton Town Police last Thursday was made by Michael Goericke, 28, of Flanders, who was a friend of Ms. Ulrich's. Det. Sgt. Leser said that Mr. Goericke made the 911 call saying that Ms. Ulrich had overdosed, but then left the scene.
The Homicide Section planned to meet with Mr. Goericke the day after Ms. Ulrich was found but he never showed up to the meeting, according to Det. Sgt. Leser. Mr. Goericke died on Friday, September 8, at Peconic Bay Medical Center, of what Det. Sgt. Leser said was understood to be an overdose. Mr. Goericke's funeral services were held on Monday at the Brockett Funeral Home in Southampton.

The death of Hallie Ulrich of Sag Harbor is being investigated as a noncriminal matter and the department is awaiting the results of an autopsy and toxicology report, according to Suffolk County Police Homicide Section Detective Lieutenant Kevin Beyrer. Lt. Beyrer said that the section believes Ms. Ulrich was camping “near” Cedar Point County Park with at least one male friend before she was found last Thursday morning. Lt. Beyrer said that an anonymous male made the 911 call as “a possible overdose” to East Hampton Town Police at approximately 6:10 a.m that Thursday.

Suffolk County Police have identified the woman found dead in East Hampton on Thursday as Hallie Ulrich, 22, who they said was undomiciled. The investigation is ongoing.

A woman was found dead on the side of the road in East Hampton on Thursday morning, according to Suffolk County Police.
According to a statement issued Thursday night, the young woman's body was found on the grassy shoulder of Alewife Brook Road north of Terry Road at approximately 6:30 a.m. The victim's death does not appear to be criminal at this time, County Police said.
Detectives were seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the victim, who was described as a white female in her 20s with light brown shoulder-length hair, approximately 5 feet 4 inches tall and approximately 100 pounds, with an owl tattoo on her right wrist and a tattoo of two interlocking rings inside her upper left arm.
Anyone who may have traveled on Alewife-Brook Road near Terry Road Thursday morning, or anyone with information about the victim, has been asked to call the County Homicide Squad at 631-852-6394.
The investigation is continuing, police said.
