The motorcyclist killed on County Road 39 after colliding with another vehicle on Wednesday morning was identified as David Jordan Sargent, 23, according to Yeison Gonzalez, who started a GoFundMe page on Friday.

Mr. Gonzalez described Mr. Sargent on the donation website as "sweet, funny, quirky, and loving."

His girlfriend, Alondra Solano, confirmed on Friday that Mr. Sargent was planning to propose to her on Thursday, October 11—the day after the crash.

Mr. King said the fire department was called to the scene at about 7:30 a.m. and that two fire police units and one small fire engine were on the scene, but the small fire engine was merely used to transport more officers to the scene.
