As a part of their Senior Year Experience projects, students in Perri Nation’s class participated in mock interviews on December 11 and 12 with Athletic Director Darren Phillips, Counselor Angela Hughes-Johnson, and a special guest, Darlene Troge, from the Long Island Indian Council. Students presented their interviewers with their resumes and answered questions about their experience, goals and aspirations, and their personal qualities. When not in an interview session, students learned how to properly tie a tie and practiced making phone calls to prospective internship providers.
Academy Award-nominated documentary filmmaker Roger Sherman visited the students in Maria Clinton’s Literature and Film 12 Honors class on December 13 to speak with them about his book and films. Mr. Sherman has also won an Emmy and a Peabody for his work directing producing, writing, and filming.
