Stacked Deck

The investigation initiated by the William Barr Justice Department of accusations that there was Russian influence on the Trump presidency has finally concluded.

This cloud of impropriety had begun during the end of the Obama administration, with the FBI being fed lies paid for and supplied by the Clinton campaign. It asserted interactions between candidate Donald Trump and Russian operatives. These deliberate falsehoods were supplied to the bureau, as well as their willing partners in the liberal press (New York Times, Washington Post) who would ultimately receive Pulitzer Prizes for their incompetent journalistic prowess.

The FBI ultimately found the sources and evidence unreliable but, much to their disgrace, still proceeded to pursue these known falsehoods. Worse still, James Comey deliberately directed anti-Trump bureau activity in the form of leaks to key members of the press and government promoting the false narrative.

From there, Democrats controlling the House Intelligence Committee led by Representative Adam Schiff conducted a Soviet-style show trial while claiming incontrovertible evidence existed that Trump was compromised. All of this, the Durham Report stated, was a concoction of willful distortions supported by partisan FBI leadership trumpeted by a willing media uninterested in conflicting facts and testimonies.

The cable and print media that had feasted on the anti-Trump narratives labeling the president a puppet of Vladimir Putin never took responsibility for reporting their distortions and falsehoods. The New York Times and Washington Post basked in their awards, and MSNBC and CNN enjoyed great viewership while distributing contemptible propaganda during the abuse of and impeachment of the sitting president. Left-wing pundits calling the results of the Durham Report a “big nothing burger” want to hide their complicity in the big lie. Remember, the Mueller Report had pursued the very same planted propaganda from the Clinton campaign and came up empty, but partisan media would still claim Trump was not exonerated.

This willful effort to destroy a presidency cost America a great deal. It has Americans struggling to believe what they hear and read not only from their government but their news outlets.

Add the now debunked effort by 51 members of the intelligence community claiming the Hunter Biden laptop was a Russian Trojan horse. It has been revealed that the 51 endorsements of Russian interference were concocted solely to sabotage the Trump 2020 candidacy. When Trump supporters still hold to their beliefs in election interference, can you blame them?

Add suppression of conservative viewpoints on Twitter, Facebook, etc., as recommended by our FBI, and the deck was definitely stacked. The Democrat bureaucratic “Deep State” keeps defining Trump for Republicans as a sympathetic figure in spite of his many flaws.

This path has destroyed our common trust as Americans in each other.
