Stanley John Witkowski Of Southampton Dies January 7

Stanley John Witkowski of Southampton died January 7 at his son’s home in Charlotte, North Carolina, with his son, Ron Witkowski and wife Jennifer, by his side. He was 83.

Known to those who loved him as “Totski,” Mr. Witkowksi was born on December 1, 1932 in Southampton to Stanley John Witkowski Sr. and Antoinette Gosiewski. He is survived by his only sister, Helen Witkowski Ingram, of New Mexico.

He was a Korean War veteran who served with the SeaBee unit of the United States Navy. He had a successful career with the Long Island Lighting Company for 35 years, starting as a foreman and working his way up to East End area supervisor.

Mr. Witkowski was predeceased by his wife of 45 years, Fay Marchisella Witkowski. Survivors said she was the love of his life and they enjoyed traveling, dancing, visiting their children and grandchildren, and golfing together. He was an avid golfer and a founding member of the Southampton Golf Club.

He was predeceased by his youngest child, Brian Joseph Witkowski. He is survived by his oldest son, Ronald Stanley Witkowski and wife Jennifer Murphy Witkowski of North Carolina; and a daughter, Sheila Witkowski Patch and husband Buddy Patch of Virginia; and four grandchildren, Sean Witkowski, Aubrey Witkowski, Jonathan Patch and Melanie Patch.
