Sticker Shock at Cost of Lawsuit to Town Over Shinnecock Gas Station Project

Attorneys for the town were successful at getting an injunction to halt construction of the gas station, but the effort came with hefty legal bills in the early months of what is likely to be a years-long legal fight over the gas station project, which the town says the nation does not have the right to build on the property.
