I am writing to voice my strong support for Zachary Epley, candidate for Southampton Village trustee.
Local leaders need to be qualified, committed and balanced, and Zachary’s background hits all these notes and more. As a lifetime resident, he knows the village inside and out. Combine this with his business experience and degree in political science, and you have an exceptionally qualified leader.
Zach has proven his commitment to the betterment of the village for all residents through his outstanding record of volunteering as a coach, fireman and more. These attributes, along with his genuine enthusiasm, will serve the village well for many years to come.
Please help Zachary Epley move to the next level of public service by honoring him with your vote on Village Election Day on Tuesday, September 15.

I thank Barbara Ring for aptly proving my point. In response to my letter [“An Alliance,” Letters, April 11], which decried the state of civic public discourse in Hampton Bays as being overtaken by misinformation, fear-mongering and conspiracy peddling, Ring...
