Stuart Gellman of Southampton died on September 10, 2019. He was 90.

Mr. Stuart was born April 23, 1929, in the Bronx, on the family kitchen table. He served in the U.S. Army for two years during the Korean War.

Mr. Gellman was a Clio award-winning film editor, with his own company in New York City. Outside of work he had an adventurous life, traveling, flying his own plane, and indulging in his love of cars.

He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Susan Bauman Gellman; his children, Dona (Peter) Ardito and Steve (Kathy) Gellman); and a multitude of family and friends.

In lieu of a memorial service and in honor of his military service the family requests donations be made to Honor Flight Long Island, c/o Vee Bennett, 116 Hampton Road, Southampton NY 11968.

Fundraiser Set For Hampton Bays St. Pat's Parade

The Hampton Bays Hibernians will kick off preparations for their 2026 St. Patrick’s Day Parade with a fundraiser dinner on Friday, November 15, from 6 to 10 p.m. at Oakland’s Restaurant in Hampton Bays.
Tickets are $150 per person and include a full open bar, buffet dinner, and live music by the McLean Avenue Band. The evening will also feature the announcement of the raffle winner and the formal introduction of the 2026 grand marshal.

Fundaiser Will Benefit Southampton Fourth of July Parade

The Southampton 4th of July Parade Committee will host a benefit dinner on Monday, October 20, at the Elks Lodge in Southampton to support the 2026 parade — a special celebration marking the 250th anniversary of American independence.
Guests can choose between two dinner seatings, from 5 to 6:15 p.m. or 6:15 to 7:30 p.m. Reservations are recommended to guarantee seating, and takeout will be available.
Dinner includes a choice of pulled pork or crunchy chicken sandwich, served with coleslaw, fries, dessert, and coffee. The evening will also feature a cash bar, raffles, and a 50/50 drawing.

'Peace, Love and Music' Service Coming to St. Ann's

St. Ann’s Episcopal Church on Main Street in Bridgehampton will host a special service of “Peace, Love, and Music,” celebrating the great protest music of the 1960s, on Sunday, October 19, at 10 a.m. All are welcome to attend.

Ballet Program To Be Offered By Youth Bureau

The Town of Southampton Youth Bureau, in partnership with the Peconic Ballet Foundation, is offering Dance with Project LEAP (Learn, Empower, Achieve, Perform) — a ballet program designed for children ages seven to nine.
Led by professional instructors from the Peconic Ballet Foundation, the program introduces participants to the fundamentals of ballet while encouraging fitness, self-confidence, creativity, and teamwork in a fun and supportive environment. No prior dance experience is required.

HAH Yard Sale Offers Garden Items

The Horticultural Alliance of the Hamptons will hold its annual yard sale on Saturday, October 18, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on the grounds of the Bridgehampton Community House and inside the HAH John LoGerfo Library, at the corner of Montauk Highway and School Street in Bridgehampton. Sag Harbor will celebrate Halloween with its second annual Spooky-Palooza, a week of creative and spooky fun beginning Sunday, October 26.
