Susan Rose Noonan of Hampton Bays Dies November 24

Susan Rose Noonan of Hampton Bays died on November 24. She was 81.

She was born on May 3, 1944 in Hoboken, New Jersey, to Ruth and Melvin Pollock.

She worked as a secretary at the Hampton Bays High School for 35 years, where she enjoyed interacting and joking with the staff. She especially loved seeing all of the students who would regularly stop by to say hello and share a laugh with her.

She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who adored her family. Even when she was sick, she liked to spend time helping others by listening and talking with them. She loved making people laugh and had a great sense of humor. Susan had profound faith and never gave up hope.

She was predeceased by her husband of 48 years, John Noonan, who died in 2016; her sister Janet Craft; and her brother David Pollock. She is survived by her three children, Karen S. Martin and husband Steve of Macedon, John Noonan Jr. and wife Meredith of Hampton Bays, and Kimberly Noonan of Hampton Bays; six grandchildren, Eric, Andrew and Tyler Martin, Emily Noonan, and Jack and Matthew Noonan; her brother, Ralph Pollock; her sister, Carol Demarest.

A visitation was held on Friday, November 28, and a prayer service took take place on Saturday, November 29, at Scott-Rothwell Funeral Home. A private cremation followed.

WESTHAMPTON BEACH — Mark Green, 44, of Westhampton Beach, was arrested by Westhampton Beach Village Police on November 21 and charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs, a misdemeanor. At approximately 3:13 p.m., police conducted a traffic stop on Rogers Avenue after observing a Mercedes-Benz operating without a front license plate.
