The Difference?

In his letter to the editor titled “Same Approach” [Letters, July 14], Bob DeLuca, president of the Group for the East End, explained the difference between a low-density golf course in Bridgehampton known as The Bridge and a proposed high-density golf course in East Quogue known as the Lewis Road PRD.

I have one question. A PRD, or planned residential development, requires open space on a parcel be unbundled from the housing component. As Mr. DeLuca explained in his letter, the developers of the proposed East Quogue golf course did not unbundle the open space.

So did the East Quogue developers file an application for a PRD when, in reality, their application is not a PRD?
