Flanders Man Gets 15 Years for Attempted Rape of Niece

A Flanders man was sentenced to 15 years in state prison this week after a jury found him guilty of trying to rape his 9-year-old niece in 2021. The 33-year-old man was not identified by Suffolk County District Attorney Ray Tierney’s office in a release announcing the sentencing in order to protect the identity of the victim.
