On behalf of our mother, Dorothy Brown, we would like to thank the staff at Kanas East End Hospice for the lovely care she received over the past few weeks.
The Kanas Center, located in Westhampton, is situated on a creek in a beautifully wooded area. The facility is bathed in light, and the doctors, nurses, aides and volunteers were so caring and loving, making sure that Mom was comfortable and not in pain. It was the perfect place for our mom as she transitioned from this world to join our father and be greeted by the Lord.
We will forever be grateful that the East End of Long Island has such a wonderful hospice center.

As a Sag Harbor native in my late 30s, I’ve seen the East End fully transform into the Hamptons — and it’s not a pretty picture. A village resident, I’m constantly reminded of how I don’t make enough money to...
Regarding your editorial, “Dangerous Liberty” [June 26]: We are of like minds on some issues — government overreach, the founding fathers’ understanding of the dangers of democratic process and of the dichotomy created by a two-party system. It seems important...
