The Press News Group To Host Debate Between Southampton Village Candidates On June 5

The Press News Group will sponsor a debate between the candidates for Southampton Village mayor and the Village Board on Monday, June 5, at the Southampton Arts Center on Jobs Lane.

The debate will begin at 6 p.m. and will be divided into two parts. The first portion will feature the three Village Board candidates—incumbents Bill Hatrick and Nancy McGann, and first-time candidate Valerie Smith—who are seeking two open seats on the board.

The second part of the evening will feature the mayoral hopefuls—current Deputy Mayor Richard Yastrzemski and Michael Irving.

Joseph Shaw, executive editor of the Press News Group, will serve as moderator.
